Cortex Crime

Support

How to get help, and how to reach a person.

The help centre is in the app. Open Cortex Crime, then Settings → Help. It answers how a case works, how grades and points are worked out, what the assists do, and what to do when something breaks — and it works with no connection, which is when you are most likely to need it.

Telling us something is wrong

In the app: Settings → Report a problem. Write what you were doing and what the game did. You can attach a short log of what the app had been doing — it holds nothing you typed and nothing about who you are, and you can read all of it before you send it.

That channel is one-way, so if you need an answer, write to us instead.

Writing to us

info@rockspetre.com

A person reads it. Tell us your detective's name and roughly when something happened and we'll find it. We answer as quickly as a small team can, which is not always quickly.

Your account

I've lost my record

If you signed in with Apple, sign in again on the new iPhone and it will be there. If you never signed in, your record lived on the old phone and on our server under an anonymous account, and there is no way to prove which anonymous account was yours — so it cannot be recovered. Signing in with Apple, from Settings → Your record, is what prevents this.

I want a copy of everything you hold

Settings → Your record → Get a copy of my data. It hands you a file. You don't need to ask us.

I want it all deleted

Settings → Your record → Delete my record. It is immediate and cannot be undone. Again, you don't need to ask us — but if you can't get into the app to do it, write and we will.

My photograph didn't follow me to a new iPhone

It isn't meant to. Your photograph is treated and kept on the phone and never uploaded, which is why a new iPhone starts again with a drawn card.
